Our story

Deniz Feneri — Turkish for “the lighthouse” — is a tribute to the owner’s mother and her home country, Turkey. The lighthouse meaning mirrors the café’s place by the water.

The kitchen brings together modern-Australian café cooking and Turkish home cooking: menemen and Turkish breakfast, gözleme and börek, a much-loved schnitzel wrap and Turkish sweets, served alongside smashed avo and a big breakfast. Coffee is Axil Coffee Roasters, with proper Turkish tea and coffee too.

With bright indoor and outdoor seating and a friendly, family welcome — and gluten-free and vegetarian options throughout — it’s a genuine local favourite.
